![]() Guess we didn't pay enough to get their attention. Its their updates that failed some people (maybe small portion, but still.) My account worked perfectly fine before with nothing changed. little by little, this will happen to more innocent people which Rockstar chose to ignore. But nothing much changed as they will eventually give you the same bs answer of banning is final. You can try asking about it through 'Online Connectivity Issue' instead of 'banning appeal' under subject. R* should give reasons for automated bans, ffs. False bans usually get fixed within a week, so I'm guessing my ban won't be revoked any time soon. Sent a ticket to R* support, and got an automated message the next second, saying the usual crap. I decide not to login, and then saw an e-mail which i received about 10 minutes ago stating that I was suspended from GTA:Online with a bank and character wipe. The Launcher was slower than usual, and then it showed me the 'banned from connecting' message. With no luck, I close the game and try again after two hours. I spent nearly half an hour switching sessions and characters to try to claim it, and I may have spent a few minutes in a session with two lone modders. He had this and a few other things to say about the ban: 'I contacted the Rockstar support on Twitter and submitted a ticket on the Rockstar Socialclub website. The ban has restricted his access to the game, not allowing the single-player or GTA Online modes to be accessed. I signed into Social Club a week ago to claim the $1.3 million + tax rebate, but I didn't receive anything. Video creator and avid GTA V player Ben Buja was recently banned for what he says was unwarranted. I switch to passive mode whenever I join a public session, never attacked other players or their businesses, no cheats and mods used and I haven't played a lot this year. I am not trying to convince everyone.Īnd again, I thank you for your input. Well, I don't expect you all to believe me (this is the internet after all), but do you think if I am a hacker/ cheater, I will waste that much time to seek for answers here?Īnyway, you can suspect all you want. You got caught using a menu deal with it, You don't get banned for no reason unless you've messed with the game stats if you were truly innocent than you wouldn't have triggered anything to ban you simple as that sigh.īad Sport Points doesn't trigger bans, They only send you to the Bad Sport Lobby. and they close EVERY ticket/ request after giving a crappy formal answer of 'ban is final' anwyay. apparently it's enough bad sport points led to ban + character wipe.īut i can't argue, R* is the law here. All that does is give you some bad sport points.Ī few mod menus got detected a few days ago and people had been complaining about bans, so I don't know. Quitting any mission or job prematurely won't trigger a ban, that's absurd. ![]() There's just a recognition of ‘yes.’ And then you capture that in a way that’s authentic to your unique creativity. “It appears almost in its completeness, and there’s a recognition of it as being right for you – perfectly right for you. “An inviolate inspiration is one that comes to you completely pure,” Vai continues. I just love to think up creative ideas, and then use whatever skill I have to manifest them.” When it comes to my music, I don’t feel like I have to prove anything or conform to anything. For myself, I came out of the chute wanting and needing it all. You just need to decide how much technique you want or need to get there. “I mean, Bob Dylan plays the guitar perfectly well for his expression. “One of the great things about the guitar is you don't need to be a virtuoso to express your creative vision,” he says. ![]() This is nine pretty dense all-instrumental compositions that I wanted to capture and record so I could get out there and play them live for people.”Īs for the new album, Vai says it's primarily about finding your own voice and having the conviction to follow your creative instincts. Because a lot of my records, they're long and there's a lot of concepts and playing around with stories. “Someone else might be better than me at explaining what that is. “It’s very ‘Vai,’ whatever that means,” he says with a laugh. On this new album, Vai not only invented a new guitar, but also a new guitar-playing technique. “What I do say to myself is, ‘Okay, Vai – what are you going to do now that's going to interest you, that’s going to fascinate you, and that’s different than anything you've done before?'" “I don't sit around and say, ‘Okay, what can I do now that pushes the boundaries?” Vai explains about his approach to the guitar. While Vai has earned respect as one of rock's most inventive guitar players, Vai says he's not consciously trying to always go beyond his previous works. A vinyl LP version will follow on March 18. ![]() It will initially be available digitally and on CD, with pre-orders being taken here. Everyone at the party was dancing to EDM music. “I was at a friend’s birthday party, and while happy to be there celebrating my friend, I was not having a great time. Unabashed sexy times within earshot of LOTS of disgruntled Scandinavians. “Danish cornfields, a boy named Mathias, 12 beers apiece, up all night at a communal living compound. I was slightly shocked but went with it anyway.” “When we got back to my place, he took off his jeans to reveal boxers that looked like tiny denim hotpants. He had an amazing body and it was the perfect first one night stand.” I said, ‘Leaving already?’ and he said, ‘Should I?’ We hung out at the bar together for an hour or so, then went back to my place. He had just hailed a cab and was about to get in. I heard some friends talking about how one of the New York Mets just left the bar, so in my slightly inebriated state, I decided to go see if he was cute. “I was 21 and didn’t want to be a virgin anymore so I went on Tinder and had my first and only one night stand. I’ll never look at a fire truck the same.” “A couple of years ago I went on a family vacation to Cabo, had a three-day romance with a local volunteer firefighter and ended it by hooking up in a fire truck on the last night. ![]() ![]() Prepare to laugh, cringe and empathize-and add your own in the comment section if you have one. ![]() Is that correct?Ī single stroke on the SPD-S kills a Phrase, so I had hoped (would have thought?) the SPD-30 would have done likewise?īy the way, should we be worried Michael doesn't know his left from his right? Anyone else spot that?īy the way, should we be worried Michael doesn't know his left from his right? Anyone else spot that? You could always make sure that is on it's own channel and get your soundman to mute it at the appropriate time. On video two, (part 8) it shows you have to hit the play and rec pads simultaneously to stop it, but it looks like a single stroke would re start. Naturally I will only have either one hand / one foot to do this and don't want to have to double stroke on the Octapad with the hand as appears required? On that track, I need to create 4 bars of loops, one by one, then play acoustic drums over those 4 loops for a further 4 bars and then kill the loop while still playing the acoustic kit. The OCTAPAD SPD-30 seems almost perfect for what I want, but it currently appears (unless I have misunderstood) that I'l struggle to stop it looping on one track I need it for. Thanks, I had watched those before hand but wasn't clear. Video #3 explains some of the footswitch functions Michael Schack has recorded a series of OCTAPAD SPD-30 tutorials that should help. This can be executed with the combination of a footswitch and striking pad(s). I think this will make a good ultra compact drum kit for me and will be interesting to explore other possibilities. There are many other percussion sounds in it.īeyond this there are many creative options too with looping and making the drums sounds more electronic with effects. There is a control to soften the attack if you want less of this. ![]() All the percussion sounds play nicely and have an edge and presence like playing a real drum. The djembe is good too and I think an improvement over the td20. The timbales play nice and the repinique is similar to a timbale with a great rim shot crack. There is a 6" roto tom which I have wanted for years. The toms played great and I could easily do buzz rolls on any sound. The sensitivity was better on the mesh but very good on the pad. I tried the snare on the octapad and with an external mesh pad. The toms have an almost compressed larger than life sound like they are already mic'd through a PA. The birch kick is very punchy and reminds me of the tdw20 kicks but a bit tighter sounding. They don't have the fidelity of the tdw20 or VST's but they did come to life when we sent them through an amp. They sound more real and don't have electronic rings in them. I like the direction they are going with the type of snares. The sounds of the snares and hats is quite good. The Wood snare and loose snare are my favorites. I had already ordered this so I am glad that it is great. I was there too and spent a lot of time with the SPD30 and Drew, who is a great guy. Outside Litchfield, Aleida (Elizabeth Rodriguez) asks for work at a nail salon and is outraged when she learns new employees have to pay $20 a day for the privilege of “training.” “This is America, lady,” she sputters. One particularly clumsy episode touches on slavery, with the Paula Deen-esque character Judy King (Blair Brown) enslaved by a group of women who’ve long resented her special treatment she’s forced to wear a collar and auctioned off for bids. The prisoners, now in control of the one weapon in Litchfield, turn on the guards, who’ve abused their own power for so long. Kohan seems to be intent on putting human nature under the microscope, exploring how people who’ve been subjected to horrific treatment can so cheerfully turn around and inflict the same thing on others. Never have the Veep-like bon mots (the guard Piscatella is described as “the jolly gay giant”) or the bumbling white supremacists been less welcome. And the show’s leaps between Taystee (Danielle Brooks)-who’s using her rage at her friend’s death to demand justice-and the jauntily anarchic behavior of other groups of inmates continually disrupts the pathos. ![]() ![]() What’s presumably meant to be a dig at the cultural impact of these atrocities feels tonally graceless. In the first episode, for instance, while the bewildered guards and inmates are still deciphering what’s going down, a running joke features different characters referencing mass shootings: Columbine, Sandy Hook, Charleston, Aurora, Fort Hood. It very quickly becomes clear that Thomas Hobbes was right-Litchfield’s state of nature is rough.Īmid the chaos and the cruelty, Orange’s insistence that it’s still a comedy is jarring. The show’s cast has grown to the point of unwieldiness by now, and the result of following so many characters through such a short time period is that the plot becomes sprawling and tentacular, spending far too much time with characters who aren’t doing anything at all, and neglecting others to the point of collapse. This is a characteristically bold move by Jenji Kohan, Orange’s showrunner-a gamble that’s high-risk, and, as emerges in the first half of the new season, low reward. ‘I Am a Writer Because of bell hooks’ Crystal Wilkinson Set over the course of just three days, as a riot plays out, it’s less a work of entertainment than a sociological experiment, turning the pressure up on the prisoners and flipping Litchfield’s hierarchy upside down. But the new season, by contrast, seems intent on proving how flawed all people are. “Power erupts.” In the past, Orange has emphasized the humanity of the female inmates, showing the emotional complexity and troubled histories of women who are often stereotyped or unfairly judged. “Yeah, yeah, we know,” a character says early in Season 5, released in its entirety on Friday. Hence the show’s decision to have the most sympathetic guard, the baby-faced Bayley (Alan Aisenberg) be the one who accidentally killed Poussey. ![]() ![]() Orange has always trafficked in echoes and parallels to point out that all people-whichever side of the bars they’re on-are essentially flawed in the same ways, and that a corrupt system crushes everyone. In the wake of her death, a particularly sadistic guard brought a gun to work, and the season ended with his weapon being coopted by Daya (Dascha Polanco), in a tense cliffhanger that left viewers wondering whether or not she’d pull the trigger. This transformation culminated in the penultimate episode of Season 4, “The Animals,” in which a beloved character, Poussey Washington (Samira Wiley), was crushed to death by a prison guard-a heartbreaking event that united the female inmates of Litchfield against an increasingly punitive system. In its first few years of existence, Netflix’s Orange Is the New Black evolved from a dramedy about an oblivious white woman enduring prison to a deft and richly textured portrait of injustice in America. ![]() The most popular driver award was first presented in 1949, to Curtis Turner, at the end of NASCAR’s inaugural season.
